A human interface is an architectural building block of the EIRA Technical view - application supporting the Technical interoperability layer of the European Interoperability Framework. It is included in the Enabler grouping Application Presentation and Access Enablers and in Key Information Exchange Enablers.
A Human interface is a specialisation of Application Interface. A boundary set of means enabling the exchange of data between an individual (and his/her devices and services) and a service. This ABB is a key interoperability enabler for assessing compatible interfaces.
The Human interface ABB is a key interoperability enabler / manifestation because it supports to achieve technical interoperability exchanging data allowing users to access services through multiple channels as stated in the EIF recommendation #eif10 - Use multiple channels to provide the public service: "Use multiple channels to provide the European public service, to ensure that users can select the channel that best suits their needs."
