The European Interoperability Reference Architecture (EIRA©) is a reference architecture that is focused on the interoperability of digital public services, each of which may have its own Level of scope and (enterprise) architecture.

It is composed of the most salient Architecture Building Blocks (ABBs) (model elements) needed to promote cross-border and cross-sector interactions between public administrations.

Its current release is EIRA_v5_0_0. The overview was based on V4 and must still be adapted to the latest release.

EIRA© has views for the Interoperability layers of the European Interoperability Framework. The views contain a narrative, a graphical notation of the EIRA© ontology and a description of the most salient Architecture Building Blocks. These are the views:
