The European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) version 3.0 provides a reference of 40 competences as required and applied at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) workplace, using a common language for competences, skills and capability levels. The e-CF reference description for each competence is fit for the micro, meso and macro contexts (organisation, sector body, landscape body).

Each competence includes references to ICT professional profiles from (CWA 16458). Each profile page includes an indication of the role with respect to the typical Deliverables of ICT professional profiles.

The transposition of the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) into a number of wiki pages illustrates the conversion of "the contents of a pdf document" into an information and affordance centric wiki in English, hence #en2wiki as a special case of #pdf2wiki.
