Change (Social)

Communicates the potential impact of emerging technologies on institutions, organisations, sectors and individuals. Takes the initiative to keep skills, both own and those of subordinates or members of constituencies, up to date and to maintain an awareness of developments in science, technology and civilization.

Monitoring & Evaluation (Social)

Analyses the risks of using or not using innovations or emerging technologies, in society, sectors, organisations, or for indivduals. Assess the impact of legislation or policies and actively promotes compliance and justice.

Operations

Autonomy: Is fully accountable for actions and decisions made.

Influence: Makes decisions critical to success. Influences developments within the society, sectors or organisations at the highest levels. Advances the knowledge and/or exploitation of technology or innovations within one or more organisations and influences relations (in industry or government) at senior level. Develops long-term strategic relationships with stakeholders in the wider environment.

Complexity: Applies the highest level of management and leadership skills. Has a deep understanding of industry and institutions and the implications of emerging technologies for society or a wider (business) environment.

Social skills: Understands, explains and presents complex ideas to audiences at any Competence level (in particular for what concerns civic participation skills) in a persuasive and convincing manner. Has a broad and deep knowledge coupled with the activities and areas where strategy is set, or people must be mobilised or inspired.
